Transform a small space with a little nature and colour!

Making the most of any outdoor space is a fantastic way to give you a comfortable home and also to make it attractive to potential buyers and tenants.

We asked our friends @Shrubbies for some ideas to transform a small space into a garden and here are their fantastic tips.

Gardening is for everyone, whether you have a big back garden, a small yard, kitchen window sill or just a room with some natural light! Adding some nature to a space creates an organic, calming feel whilst making the space feel more open and welcoming. At Shrubbies, we know the worth of a little plant! We take anything we can find and recycle it into a planter. With the re-emergence of green living and the ever-growing awareness of our carbon footprint there has been a new interest in the reuse of everyday items. We thought what better way to reuse items than to grow new life in them!

From tin cans to beer cans, you can pretty much turn anything into a plant’s new home! Of course, we love our colours, and like to use bold colourful patterns to bring some vibrancy into people’s homes and gardens, but the best thing about recycling your own planters is you can customise them to your own style and taste.

It’s not all about how awesome your pot is though, the plant itself must take some of the spotlight! Choosing the right plant for you and the space is often a challenge so we have put together a few ideas to get you started.
